Peter Quill, also known as Star-Lord, is a prominent character within the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). He is portrayed by actor Chris Pratt.

Quill is depicted as an orphaned boy from Missouri who was abducted by the Ravagers, a group of space pirates, after his mother's death. He was raised by them and developed a penchant for adventure and a roguish charm.

In the MCU, Star-Lord's first appearance was in the movie *Guardians of the Galaxy* (2014). He is the leader of the Guardians, a team of intergalactic heroes.
